After returning at the beginning of June to release their latest single ‘These Days’, which landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist in the UK, US, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam and has already started to pick-up UK radio support, Leeds-based indie-rock heroes Marsicans are back once again to unveil the new video for their latest offering.

Working once again with regular collaborators Sodium Films, the new video for ‘These Days’ sees them get creative with their recent lockdown situation. Filmed during isolation, each member contributes moving and personal snapshots of their lives away from the public eye, resonating the song’s chorus, “I don’t want to go outside, most of the time, these days”.

Speaking about the new video, frontman James Newbigging said, "The idea for the video was constantly evolving throughout the process. Due to lockdown measures, we couldn't meet up to shoot the video so we had to film it individually ourselves; which for a song where the chorus is "I don't wanna go outside" was rather fitting. Our aim was to show the disconnect between ourselves, technology, and the outside world. We set up our various tripods (and makeshift toilet roll tripods) in our homes and did our best. Our friend Phil at Sodium Films then edited the video together. He conjured up some magic camera trickery which involved filming the footage playing on different kinds of screens, a big lens and some Orwellian flavouring and turned a load of separate homemade clips into a video we really love."

‘These Days’ is Marsicans’ fifth track to be released in 2020 and from one great bear (the Marsican) to The Great Bear, all five feature on their debut album ‘Ursa Major’ which is set for release on August 14th.  The preceding singles ‘Summery In Angus’, 'Sunday', ‘Juliet’ and Can I Stay Here Forever (pt. II) saw continued support for the band across UK and international radio, DSP’s and TV including; Radio X-Xposure playlist support for ‘Juliet’ & ‘Can I Stay Here Forever (pt. II)’ to "Record Of The Week" on BBC Introducing West Yorkshire for ‘Can I Stay Here Forever (pt. II)’ alongside spot plays across BBC Radio 1 and Radio X and A&R Worldwide’s Passport Approved playlist support for ‘Juliet’ and ‘CISHF (pt. II)’. Continued Spotify support by way of; New Music Friday, All New Rock, The Indie List and New Alternative. Deezer; through their Brand New UK and Indie Jukebox playlists and Apple Music support globally through Kebab on the Nightbus. TV support from MTV Rocks, Kerrang TV, BT Sport including a feature on their Weekly Goal Show and syncs on Made In Chelsea.

Due to the cancellation of this year’s SXSW festival Marsicans recorded a live session for BBC Radio 1 as part of their SXSW contingency coverage ‘The BME Sessions’. You can listen back to ‘Juliet’ and ‘Sunday’ HERE
